Why Mobile Personal Training Might Be Best for You

Understanding Your Fitness Journey

Understanding Your Fitness Journey

Everyone has a different road, a different trajectory and specialised needs/wants especially when it comes to health and fitness. This is due to YOU living a different life to everyone you meet in your life. So why should your exercise program be generic and the same as that fitness influencers you saw on instagram.

In a world filled with fast-paced lifestyles and ever-evolving fitness trends, finding the perfect workout routine can be a daunting task. If you're someone constantly on the go, juggling work, family, and other commitments, the thought of fitting in a fitness regimen may seem overwhelming. The struggle is real, and we get it.

Picture this: you're eager to embark on a fitness journey, but time constraints, accessibility issues, and the desire for personalised attention hold you back. Fear not, as we delve into the world of mobile personal training, where fitness meets flexibility, and your goals are the priority.

1. Cost Considerations: Making Fitness Affordable

Cost Comparison: Mobile vs. Gym Personal Training

Cost Comparison: Mobile vs. Gym Personal Training

Let's talk about the numbers. Traditional gym memberships and personal training sessions can often place a bit of a dent in your wallet. Why spend such amounts on a service that rarely has proof of purchase?

To me this mainly comes down to personal preference. If you are someone that loves the gym maybe a gym based personal trainer is the right fit. However if you want something that is outdoors, in the comfort of your home a mobile PT will adapt to your surroundings.

Now the physical monetary costs are pretty much the same between the two options if you factor in the cost of a gym membership. However once you finish up with a mobile PT the costs finish along with it... However most gyms do require 12 month or even 18 month lock in contracts to be signed...

You better love it or you are stuck for a minute!

Budget-Friendly Options for Mobile Training

Yes, you can have your cake and eat it too! Explore the budget-friendly avenues of mobile personal training without compromising on the quality of your fitness journey.

There are a few ways that you can still gain quality from a mobile PT but also get this service on a budget let me explain:

  1. Completing less sessions per week/month - doing this means you will see the trainer less however they will be providing you with work to do outside of sessions and maybe even provide you with a program! (I saw most as I do hope the industry average is a bunch of good eggs...)

  2. Purchasing a package/bundle deal - most mobile personal trainers would offer packages or bundles of sessions that will come with a discounted price for up front payments or purchasing big packs

  3. Joining with a friend (or a couple) - doing sessions with a friend will not drop the quality too much as the trainer only has to focus on 2 people which will come with it a decreased per session cost!

  4. Make a longer term commitment - this will give your trainer positivity that you are secured as their client for an extended period of time. They will love to provide you a discount with a commitment in mind!

2. Addressing Common Problems: Overcoming Barriers to Fitness

Overcoming Time Constraints with Mobile Training

Overcoming Time Constraints with Mobile Training

Time, or rather, the lack of it, is a common hurdle in the fitness journey. Mobile personal training adapts to your schedule, offering sessions that fit seamlessly into your day.

The beauty of having a mobile personal trainer is you only have to match two peoples schedules. A gym means you are having to ensure you are within trading hours and even then be aware that once you are in there you may have to wait to use equipment when gyms get busy...

Solving Accessibility Issues

One of the biggest issues with gyms is you will have to travel to that location if you would like to train there. There is also the fact you must find work arounds when it comes to busy periods, your trainers schedule and even the times that the gym may be open for.

A mobile personal trainer will be able to find workarounds for all of these accessibility issues where you can work on your time and at a location of your choosing. Even if that is within your living room!!

Tailored Solutions for Personal Goals

There is a one size fits all approach to the current social media fitness influencer space. Programs are being created and sold globally with the main objective being to get you shredded, get you bulked up for summer in 10, 20 or even 30 days...

Setting such unrealistic targets or milestones only discourages people from even beginning in my opinion. Having something specifically made for you by someone that sees you in your main living environment means anything you do in your program fits your lifestyle. Pretty fool proof if you ask me!!

3. Comparing Training Environments: Mobile vs. Gym Sessions

Mobile Personal Training vs. Gym Sessions

Mobile personal training

Pros

  • Workout on your time

  • Location of your choosing

Cons

  • Decreased equipment availability/choice

  • Decreased chance of community or relationship building

Gym based personal training

Pros

  • Wide variety of equipment

  • Easily measurable progress through numerical increases in load

Cons

  • Waiting periods due to crowding at peak times

  • Location - you become stuck in choosing this location rather than given a free choice

My advice to you would be to create a list similar to this one that shows all of the pros and cons you can think of. Use my example to begin your list and once you finish you should have a good idea as to which avenue suits you the best!

4. Exploring the Best Mobile Training Practices: Tailored for Success

Tailored for Success

Advantages of One-on-One Attention

Ever felt lost in a sea of gym-goers? Mobile personal training offers one-on-one attention, ensuring your form, progress, and goals receive the focus they deserve.

One on one attention is the peak level of service in this industry. It is the area you will gain the best and highest quality results in your fitness and health journey. Think of it like this it is basically like outsourcing one aspect of your life onto someone else who is deemed the professional/expert in that area.

Use that to your advantage. You can also aide this person by following through with their teachings to ensure you are getting everything out of the knowledge they are willing to provide you!

Customised Workouts for Optimal Results

No cookie-cutter routines here. For me I create all of my programs for my clients and myself as rolling or adaptable programs. I have good reason for this and let me explain...

My programs do not have end dates and also are never strict. There will be days that I feel flat or lethargic so that day I know doing a 2 hour long workout may not be in the cards but a 30 minute one might be just what I need. There may be weeks that I am progressing really fast in certain areas so changing up the programs a little to ensure those areas become tougher to complete will ensure I progress in a more efficient way!

5. Why Choose Mobile Personal Training: Embracing Fitness Trends

Current Trends in Fitness

What's hot in the fitness world? Right now all I am seeing all over social media has been the calories debate. What is right and what is wrong when it comes to energy balance, calories in and calories out.

There is conflicting arguments all over and we have discussed this at length on our socials too... The confusion raised by topics such as these create confusion and all of these fitness trends tend to create feelings of worthlessness when you can not adhere to some bodybuilder routine. Maybe it is time you throw out the trends and focus on the basics!!!!

Conclusion: Empowering Your Fitness Journey

As we wrap up our exploration into the world of mobile personal training, it's clear that flexibility, affordability, and personalised attention are key components in achieving your fitness goals.

Say goodbye to the hurdles that held you back and embrace a fitness journey that adapts around you and your changing lifestyle. Remember, the power to transform your life is in your hands (or rather, at your doorstep with mobile personal training). Get ready to embark on a fitness adventure where convenience meets results, and your goals become reality.
